The FX network will film a new comedy pilot starring Michael Cera (Superbad, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and John Hawkes (Eastbound and Down, The Sessions) in Wilmington, North Carolina this spring.
Variety reported yesterday that the first episode of the new series How and Why from writer and producer Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich) will shoot in Wilmington in the spring.
The show revolves around a brilliant man who understands nuclear physics but is clueless about how life works.
Kaufman will write and direct the half-hour pilot.
